How to Forward Ports in Your Router for Wii U

The following ports need to be forwarded for Wii U:

  • TCP: 6667, 12400, 28910, 29900, 29901, 29920
  • UDP: 1-65535

When you use Wii U you might need to forward some ports in your router. A port forward allows incoming connection requests from the internet to go straight to Wii U.

Routers generally do not allow incoming connection requests from the internet. By forwarding ports you can work around this limitation.
